Visitor
Canada welcomes more than 35 million temporary residents (non-immigrants) each year. Except for Canadian citizens and permanent residents, all other individuals require permission to enter Canada as a visitor and require either a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) or an eTA (electronic Travel Authorization), unless they are US Citizens.
Visitor Visa
Holding a visitor visa will give you the opportunity of entering Canada for a period which usually goes up to 6 months. However, at the port of entry, an Immigration officer will determine the length of time of your stay.
To be accepted when arriving at a Port of Entry, the visitor must prove to the officer his intention of leaving Canada by the end of the visit.
Requirements:
1.Passport,
2.Good health,
3.Enough money to cover the stay in Canada,
4.Strong ties to home country such as: job, family, property, assets,
5.Intent to leave Canada at the end of the visit.

Find out when to apply, how to apply and what happens if you travel outside Canada.
Working in Canada as an International Student
Students in post-secondary programs on a valid study permit may work on/off-campus for up to 20 hours a week during regular school terms. However, international students must ensure that their study permits mention this. There are several restrictions in place to ensure that international students only work part-time.
Note:
A study permit is not required if the program of study is six months or less. These courses can cover any subject and may be full or part time. A Visa extension will not be granted simply for the purpose of completing a short-term program.
A study permit is not a visa and does not, by itself, allow you to travel to or enter Canada. You may also need a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorization (eTA). If you do, the Government of Canada will issue your visitor visa or eTA with your study permit.

To start, many people choose to move or immigrate to Vancouver because of its manageable weather, job opportunities and incredible landscape. Vancouver is the largest city in Western Canada with a population of over 2.5 million people. Most of the residents live in the downtown core, but the surrounding areas of Burnaby, Surrey and Richmond are also great spots to find a place to live and grow a family.
Located near the coastal seaport, Vancouver boasts a number of water-based activities for most of the year, including surfing in the summer and whale watching in the spring and fall. Don’t worry, there are also a lot of activities to do in the winter as well, including hitting the slopes for skiing, snowboarding and tobogganing; you can also learn how to snowshoe or skate!
If you have heard horror stories about Canadian winters being very cold and snowy, you can rest assured because Vancouver’s winters are usually very mild with an average temperature of 7 degrees Celsius.
